About the Podcast
The Meaning Behind the Name

We named our podcast Light Between Lines to symbolize truth and hope shining between the lines of the page, and what we hope to accomplish is to encourage and help other writers use their creative work to be a light in the darkness.

Or, more specifically, to write stories of truth, hope, and courage to give readers clean, thought-provoking fiction.

Whether you've just started thinking about writing or you've been writing for several years, we'll have helpful content for you to explore. And if you ever have any specific topics you want us to explore, feel free to contact us with ideas.

We're so excited to see where God takes this podcast, and we hope you'll join us on the journey.

- Marla and Leah

About
Marla Dallman
Marla started writing at the age of 10 when she bravely told her mother that she was going to write and publish a book. Though she has been writing stories for six years, she has been telling stories for as long as she can remember. Some of her favorite memories of when she was younger was playing with her doll house, telling dramatic tales using the little dolls. She is the author of Mr. Dickson's Will, a middle grade mystery. She worked on it for fours years and self-published it at the age of sixteen.Â

Marla values stories that are full of heart and meaning, but also whimsy. She brings on perspective of learning from the great classical authors to write stories that resonate with people today. Her goal in writing is to provide clean, wholesome books that make people laugh and feel a little less alone.Â

When she isn't writing, she either has her head buried in studying or is curled up in an armchair, reading Jane Austen who she will talk about for hours on end if she is not stopped.Â
